Biography

Human faced and deer headed, proud and invisible at times. The artist Friedrich Michael Schreiber, crafts these unique, life-sized characters out of birchbark, timber and horn by hand.

Friedrich has worked with art and wood his entire life. He knows the material, how to get most out of it and bring it into life.

We had the great chance, to meet the Gods of the Woods – in German known as the Waldgoetter in Berlin for the first time. From the very beginning we were sure that soon they will become very famous around the globe.

The metropolitan jungle of stone, steel and tarmac holds the Gods of the Woods – Waldgoetter. These mythical creatures, so it is said, heal wounds and injuries.
