Ronald Brooks Kitaj RA was an American painter, graphic artist and draughtsman who settled in England in the late 1950s.

Kitaj counted among the most important representatives of British Pop Art. He began with enigmatic allegories and later turned to a more understandable figurative style of representation, which became known as the “School of London”
