7 female artists on their way to freedom

Seven women from different generations dare to leave behind their familiar life situations and step into an uncertain future. Their artworks are part of important collections and have already been exhibited in prestigious museums.

Aufbruch (Departure) invites you to immerse yourself in the worlds of these seven women. Not only has their work received great recognition, but it also bears witness to the power of artistic creativity.

The exhibition celebrates not only the achievements of these seven remarkable women but also their individual stories, characterized by courage and determination. Each has overcome hurdles such as personal challenges, social norms, fate, or wars.

Their works are manifestations of self-liberation and self-discovery. Through their art, they have attained their freedom and inspired others to carve their own paths.
